The expansion included an 8,000-square-foot ground-up addition designed to increase the department by 13 beds. Construction was performed in phases to accommodate the end-user needs for hospital operations. Throughout the expansion, we upgraded the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing systems in the existing ED footprint. We installed two new Air Handler Units to facilitate the additional square footage. We completed this project with cosmetic upgrades in the existing Emergency Department as well as the addition of new ADA restrooms.
